Standard Terms & Conditions of Carriage Bulk Liquid Distribution
Unless agreed in writing to the contrary, all bulk liquid distribution services provided by Treasure Transport Services Limited are carried out subject to the following terms:Terms of Business
The Road Haulage Association Limited Conditions of Carriage 2009 (“RHA Conditions”) are incorporated into this agreement and set out below. To the extent that the RHA Conditions are inconsistent with the terms of this agreement, the terms of this agreement shall prevail.

- Duration of Quotation
With the exception of the cost of diesel and any Government imposed increases, all rates quoted in writing by TREASURE are fixed for a period of 12 months from the date of the original rate schedule. The rates shall be reviewed annually on the anniversary of the said date when an adjustment equivalent to at least the rate of RPI applicable at the time will be applied. In reviewing the rates, no account shall be taken of the cost of diesel, which shall be subject to review in accordance with the provisions of the following subsection.
- Diesel
Our quotation is based on the current cost of diesel (available on request). It is agreed that the transport rates will be reviewed monthly.
Following any review the rates will be adjusted to reflect increases and decreases in the average cost of diesel from the date of any previous adjustment. The average cost of diesel shall mean the average price paid by TREASURE (evidenced by copy invoices from suppliers on request).
The formula for calculating any rate variation to be 0.6% increase or decrease in haulage rates for each 1p/ litre movement in diesel cost. Any adjustment will be ignored until the cumulative increase or decrease exceeds 2p/ litre.
- Payment terms
Unless agreed to the contrary in writing by TREASURE payment terms are strictly 30 days from month end following invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Cash sales accounts require either payment in advance or payment upon collection of goods.TREASURE reserves the right to retract credit facilities if the customer fails to adhere to the above payment terms.All monies exceeding our credit terms and conditions may become subject to interest charged at 3% above the LIBOR base rate.
Credit account customers shall not deduct or offset against any claims without prior agreement with TREASURE.
- Demurrage
An agreed amount of time has been factored into the rates quoted. Demurrage will be charged for all waiting in excess of the allowed loading/ unloading times.
- Surcharge
A surcharge will be applied for any collections/ deliveries carried out, at the customer’s request, on Sundays/ Public Holidays.
- Invoice queries
All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. Invoice queries must be raised within 7 days of the invoice date.
- Insurance
All goods carried will be subject to RHA Conditions of Carriage 2009. All claims will automatically have a limit of liability of £1,300 per tonne (£1.30 per kilo).
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they are insured against any accidental damage to TREASURE’s tankers caused during the loading/ unloading process.
