When we approached Ketchup Marketing, we had a 10-year-old website which was desperately in need of updating. Our frustrations included not being in full control of the site content and we wanted to be able to capture visitor data so that we could market our services more effectively. We wrote a marketing brief to communicate our requirements and found that Ketchup Marketing had all the bases covered!
The main web build evolved from our initial brief through to full build on a developmental site which we had access to throughout the design and build process. Ketchup Marketing specialises in database-driven content management systems which allow users to manage their own content.
Ketchup Marketing took our existing branding and introduced a new colour palette to the new website to give it more variety. In addition, the pages and navigation were made clearer across all core services, allowing the UX for our visitors and existing customers to improve dramatically. In addition, we showcased a new service – Treasure Express – a last-minute, urgent delivery service, offering the same care and expertise applied to major loads and long-distance deliveries.
The new web front-page encompasses a video banner and interactive animation on the scrolling screen, including a number counter to highlight some key statistics we accomplished over the past year including 1 million pints delivered into Glastonbury, and 6,000 Palletline vehicles waiting to deliver a pallet. These features bring the site to life and make the pages much more engaging for visitors.
The website utilises a bespoke theme developed by Ketchup’s in-house development team. Offering complete flexibility and the ability to drag and drop blocks of text and images around the page so we can customise exactly how we want the page to look. Ketchup created several block designs to ensure the website looks varied and has added some animation effects to increase engagement on the page.
In addition, the site is optimised for mobile use and features touch-swipe function for the gallery and testimonials.
There will be a full training and handover programme when the site goes live. The aim of this training will be so that we can update all content and add to blogs without needing any external help.
Ketchup worked with our own copy, but ensured that it was SEO friendly, using targeted keywords, to ensure that the site visibility was optimised for search engine listings. This optimisation ensures that our site would feature higher up in the search engine rankings which will, in turn, drive an increase in traffic to our new website.
Ketchup is hosting the website and will continue to work closely with TREASURE Transport to create regular, SEO-friendly blogs that continue to raise the company’s online profile. In addition, Ketchup is continuing to support TREASURE Transport with its marketing operations, to ensure that the company continues to maximise its online status.
